About

Chris In The Morning circle logo

Chris In The Morning is an eclectic music radio show presented and produced by Christopher Bingham, showcasing exciting tracks both new and old. Each episode is roughly one hour and features a specially curated playlist. You can listen to the show here or on Mixcloud.

CITM is aimed at people who love music and want to discover new artists, capturing the excitement of a good old-fashioned record sharing session, dubbing a mixtape for your friend, or the joy of finding your new favourite band completely by accident. It’s made for music nerds, basically.

You won’t love everything I play, of course, and if I don’t like it I’m not going to put it on a playlist, but I try to keep my curation exciting, energetic, novel, and fun. All eras and genres are on the table, but I have a tendency to favour noise, maximalism, metal, saxophones, synthesisers, prog, heavy percussion, innovative production techniques, and unusual vocals.

To get an idea of what to expect here’s a list of artists. But remember, just like stonks, past performance is not indicative of future results…

Previous episodes have featured: Adam Betts, Allie X, Amanda Palmer, Apocalypse Orchestra, Attacca Quartet, Beck, Beyoncé, Biffy Clyro, BIGYUKI, Cage The Elephant, Caroline Shaw, Chong the Nomad, Chris Morrissey, Colossal Squid, Cursive, Danny Brown, Dear Ears, Death Grips, Earl Sweatshirt, El Michels Affair, Father John Misty, Frank Carter, Goat, Gorillaz, Grouplove, HEALTH, Hiatus Kaiyote, Incubus, Interpol, Irk, Jaden, Janelle Monáe, JPEGMAFIA, Kishi Bashi, Late of the Pier, Leadley, Melt Yourself Down, Modest Mouse, Mongol Hörde, Nat King Cole, Noname, People in Planes, Robert Glasper, St. Vincent, Stevie Wonder, Tame Impala, The Comet is Coming, The Cooper Temple Clause, The Last Artful Dodgr, The National, Thom Yorke, Tom Misch, Tropical Fuck Storm, Troye Sivan, Verdena, Viagra Boys, Yussef Dayes, & Yves Tumor.
